Beginner Rug Hooking
Interested in learning the art of rug hooking? The Wool Studio, in West Reading, PA, is hosting Beginner/Intermediate primitive rug hooking classes taught by Janice Sonnen.
At the conclusion of the class, students will have a fundamental understanding of rug hooking basics and be well on their way to finishing their "Sunflower" rug, provided as a kit for class.
The class will teach basic rug hooking and finishing techniques and include a project kit, a hook to keep and loaner frame.
About Your Teacher:
Janice Sonnen has been hooking rugs and stitching penny rugs since 2001. She has taught rug hooking at Landis Valley Museum, Historical Schaefferstown, The Wool Studio and in the past at Northampton Community College. Janice is a juried member of the Reading Berks Craftsman Guild and a juried member of the Pennsylvania State Craftsman Guild. She has written a book on penny rugs, "Penny Rugs Sewing Wool Applique". Since 2007 she has been selected for the Early American Life Directory of Crafts for rug hooking.
Tuition $195.00/student (includes "Sunflower" rug kit and a hook)

The $195.00 class tuition fees are due prior to class and can be paid to "The Wool Studio" by check, Visa or Mastercard.
